BRIGHTON SET FOR PRESEASON CAMP IN AUSTRIA

Premier League new boys Brighton and Hove Albion are focused on their pre-season camp in Austria.

The team is set to feature in its first season back in the top flight after 34 years. The Seagulls are training in Leogang, the mountain bike capital of the country.

The team is reported to be at Alpine resort for the training camp ahead of their pre-season friendly games. The club would be getting five star treatment and a getaway package, unlike their counterparts that are preparing for the resumption of the league as well. The five star hotel is near Salzburg. The team is set to face a German side Fortuna Dusseldorf on Friday as they warm up.

The club has visited Portugal and Spain in recent years but opted for a different location this time. They were at Tenerife last year and this time they continued with the tradition of exploring a new place each time.

There would be privacy for the players, with fans and paparazzi not hunting the players for autographs and/or comments. The team needs all the focus it can get before they resume play against a trophy hungry Manchester City on the opening day of the new season.

A lot of English clubs have recently taken a liking for Switzerland, Austria and Germany as pre-season camp sites. Several clubs are there. Reports claim almost 20 UK sides have camped or are camping around the area with more from other countries around.

The Albion are set for a tough season ahead but the club is expected to do everything to avoid going down at the end of the term like others who were relegated last term.
